Summer Camp

  • Summer Camp

Weekly & Daily Themes: Each week we will be hosting a different theme.  During that week there will be a unique day that ties into the overall theme.  This allows children to explore a wide variety of activities, dress-up days, and games.

Each day/week will be filled with excitement.  This includes many guest entertainers and immersive experiences.

Our structured curriculum focuses on these key areas:

    • Literacy - letter recognition, ABC songs, handling a picture book, reading basic sight words
    • Handwriting - writing letters and names.
    • Maths concepts- Basic shapes, recognizing numbers, and counting numbers.
    • Communication - Speaking in full basic sentences, ability to express basic needs/wants
    • Number - counting in sequence, one-to-one correspondence
    • Letter recognition - letter sounds, ABC recitation
    • Colors, songs, nursery rhymes, potty training, and more!

Our childcare specialists conduct quarterly kindergarten readiness skills assessments to guide their instruction.  Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for the Preschool 4 years to 5 years class in February and again in May for evaluation to see whether the students are prepared for Kindergarten.  We maintain regular communication with our families to ensure our preschoolers are meeting their milestones.

    • Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.

      O. Fred Donaldson
    • If you trust play, you will not have to control your child’s development as much. Play will raise the child in ways you can never imagine

      Vince Gowmon
    • For a small child there is no division between playing and learning; between the things he or she does ‘just for fun’ and things that are ‘educational.’ The child learns while living and any part of living that is enjoyable is also play

      Penelope Leach
    • Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul

      Friedrich Froebel
    • I shouldn’t have to defend play for children any more than I should have to defend their eating, sleeping, and breathing

      Rae Pica
    • Ask any child development expert, and they will tell you that children do not develop in a straight line. There are no average children. There are no standard children.
